Methodology
Data source
Every number comes from API-MMA (API-Sports) or is calculated from that data. Coverage: UFC, from 2022. Data updates daily, and every minute on event days.
The source does not provide round-by-round statistics, strike attempts (so we show no strike accuracy), judges' scorecards (only final scores when available) or official rankings. We never invent them.
Strikes
"Strikes" are the totals the source provides, split by head, body and legs. The source does not say whether they landed or were only thrown, so we simply call them "strikes".
"Strikes / min" and "/ 15 min" rates use cage time: full rounds before the finish (5 minutes each) plus the clock of the last round. Rate leaderboards need at least 3 bouts.
Records
A record labelled "UFC 2022+" is our own count of finished UFC bouts since 2022 — not a career record.
"CAREER*" is a career record entered by hand by the editors, with a recorded source. We use it mainly for Cypriot fighters whose bouts fall outside our data window.
Rankings
Rankings are editorial: a champion and #1–15 in every division plus pound-for-pound. Movement (▲▼) is computed against the previous saved version. Each list shows when it was updated.
Names in Greek
Fighter names are transliterated from Latin into Greek script by rules, the way Greek and Cypriot sports media write them; they are then checked once by an AI model, and the editors can correct them at any time. Editor corrections always win.
Times
All times are Cyprus time. Bout start times are often provisional; until confirmed they are shown with "≈".
Automatic articles
Articles marked AUTO are written automatically from the fight data and state only facts present in the data. An editor checks every number before publishing.
Fan polls
Polls show the percentage of fan votes only — one vote per user or device. We never show vote counts per side.
